What skill set and certifications are needed by logistics/ supply chain professionals to flourish in the future, as the Fourth Industrial Revolution — Industry 4.0 — takes hold? What is the demand for these professionals in the Metro Detroit area? What kind of training is needed to master new factory automation and computerization processes? What is the most efficient way to deliver this training and place professionals in the workforce? These are just some of the themes to be covered in a special virtual focus group session with employers from around our region, on Friday, November 20, 2020, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. The event is being hosted by Oakland County Michigan Works! in partnership with Oakland Community College and ATS-Lab Midwest. Your input would be very valuable as we determine the need and feasibility of offering employer-driven training programs to prepare job seekers for new careers in this field.
