Royal Oak Woman’s Club’s Community Day of Service
Royal Oak, MI - Royal Oak Woman’s Club will be hosting a contactless way to give back
to the community by collecting needed items for several deserving charities to honor
the MLK Day of Service.
When: Monday, January 18 from Noon to 6pm and Saturday, January 23 from 10am -
2pm
Where: 404 S Pleasant Street, Royal Oak (4th & Pleasant St) Donations may be
dropped off during the above times in the designated bins that will be located on the
parking pad behind the ROWC clubhouse
ROWC will be collecting the following items for the below organizations:
● Soles4Souls - NEW or GENTLY used shoes (men’s, women’s, or children’s and all
styles)
● Welcome Inn Day Center - Disposable self-activating hand warmers and athletic
socks (all must be new)
● Operation Smile - SMALL coloring books & crayons, child sized toothbrushes and
toothpaste (all must be new)
● John D. Dingell VA Medical center - Hairbrushes, travel sized toiletries and
finger/toenail clippers and lip balm (all must be new)
Founded in 1902, Royal Oak Woman’s Club is a non-profit dedicated to community
improvement through volunteer service by promoting good citizenship, supporting
education, and promoting and participating in civic activities.
