Royal Oak, MI – Following the announcement that Siena Heights University will close, Baker College has established a dedicated support pathway for affected students seeking to continue their education without disruption. The initiative includes affordable tuition, tailored scholarship options up to $9,000 per year for tuition, additional scholarships for on-campus housing opportunities, and credit transfer assistance to ease the transition for students navigating this unexpected change. Advisors are on hand to provide personalized, one-on-one support throughout the transfer process.

“Our hearts go out to the students, faculty, and staff of Siena Heights University during this difficult time,” said Dan Summers, Vice President for Enrollment Management Services at Baker College. “We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to complete their education without unnecessary disruption. That’s why we’ve worked quickly to create a clear and easy path for Siena Heights students to seamlessly transfer their credits, continue their studies, and thrive in a new academic home.”

    Baker College’s transfer support includes:
    • Lower Total Tuition Costs: Baker College has lower credit hour costs than Siena Heights, which combined with tailored scholarship options can help reduce the overall financial burden for transfer students

    • Transfer Credit Evaluation: Program-to-program credit matching to reduce the loss of previously earned credits, will help students find a comparable Baker College program aligned with their academic path

    • Tailored Scholarships and Financial Aid: Access to scholarships, grants, and FAFSA assistance specifically for Siena Heights transfer students

    • On-Campus Housing and Online Learning Options: Secure residence halls and a strong community environment at multiple campus locations, plus online learning for those who need additional flexibility

Baker College remains committed to providing student-centered, accessible, and affordable education—and welcomes Siena Heights students with the resources and support they need to move forward confidently.
