Royal Oak Chamber Scholarship Program
Our mission at the Greater Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to bringing business persons, civic groups, local government and citizens together to advance the economic, professional, cultural and civic welfare of the community. We feel that part of our commitment to the community is to help it’s high school students achiever their higher education goals.
Must be a senior that attends a school in Royal Oak and is enrolling in post-secondary education after graduation and majoring in one of the below programs:
General Business, Marketing, Communications, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Health Care Management, Human Resources, Internal Business, Public Administration, Management, Operations Management , Project Management or Information Technology.
- Application form fully and accurately completed and turned in by March 31st, 2017.
- Essay questions application form to be completed and turned in with application.
- Available to meet with the selection committee for a brief interview in April.
Children of Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce staff and board members are ineligible.
There is no minimum GPA requirement.
If awarded one of the scholarships the check will made out to both the student and the University or College that they will be attending. Dollar amount of scholarship(s) are determined by number of students applying and selected.
Final candidates will be contacted by their school and interviewed by the selection committee comprised of Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce members who will review the application and required material mentioned above. Students who wish to be considered must submit the application materials to their scholarship counselor at his or her school.
